User Folder

What is your user folder and what can I do with it?

This is the place where all of your files are stored. Feel free to add and edit folders as you want.

What is the folder "Favorites" for?

This is the folder where you can collect all of your favorite files (cf. How do I add a file to my favorites?"

How do I add a file to my “Favorites” folder?

Click on the file and click on the star that is displayed on the left of the file. A link of the file will automatically be added to your “Favorites” folder.

What is the folder “Group postings" for?

This folder displays all your group postings. You do not have to add files you want to share with a group here, instead you can add it right to the coherent folder of the group under “My Groups”.

My files are blocked! Why?

If enough other users report your files as inappropriate, they will get blocked. This means that no one can access or download your files anymore. If you think they have been blocked accidentally, you may unblock your files again (right-click > unblock) in most cases. As the owner of the file, you will still be able to copy or move it. You will be able to access it again as soon as it is private (e.g. by copying it to a private folder or setting its folder to private again).

What is the star next to my file?

The star tells you how often someone has added the file to his or her favorites.

What do the colors of the folders mean?

The colors of the folders tell you about the visibility of the folder. A yellow folder is private (i.e. only you have access to it), a red folder is a folder shared with friends (i.e. specified friends or all friends in Wuala) and/or by a secret link, while a blue folder is public (i.e. everyone can see the files).
