How can I sync a folder from another computer to my already existing sync folder on Wuala?

Go to your other computer. Start Wuala and click on Sync. Select the online Wuala Sync folder and click on the information pane at the top. You will now see an overview of all folders which have been linked to your Wuala Sync folder. Click on "Link to this computer".

How can I set up sync?

Go to the tab 'Sync'. Click on 'Add Sync'. A new window will open. Click on 'Select folder'. Choose the folder you want to sync and click on 'Choose'. Return to the previous window and click on 'Ok'. Your folder will now sync automatically.

How many computers and folders can I sync?

You can sync as many computers and folders as you like.

What happens when I edit a file in one of my sync folders?

The edits will instantly be updated on all associated folders.

What happens if my computer is offline?

Wuala will resume the changes as soon as your compuer is online again.

Are old versions of files saved when using sync?

Yes, old versions of files are saved. However, if you delete a file and then empty the trash on Wuala, the file and all its old versions will be permanently deleted.

What happens when I delete a file in my local folder?

When you delete a file in your local folder it will be deleted in your Wuala sync folder and on all other folders which you have linked to your Wuala sync folder. However, with the time travel feature you can restore the file again. Select your sync folder and go to View > Show Time Travel. With the slider at the bottom you can move back and forth in time and select deleted files. If you want to restore a file, select it and go to File > Restore.

How do I delete a synchronization?

Open Wuala. Go to the 'Sync Overview' and select the folder, you no longer want to sync with your computer. Select the 'X' icon on the right. The folder will no longer be synced with your local folder on your computer. Note: The folder and its contents will still be available in Wuala.

How do I sync a local folder to Wuala (folder and content already exists in Wuala)?

Please select the folder and use the function 'Sync with this computer...'. Deactivate the option 'Create new local folder' and choose the existing local folder.

How do I sync an existing Wuala folder to my computer?

Select the folder. Go to 'File' and choose 'Sychronize with this computer'.

My trash keeps getting bigger

If your trash keeps getting bigger even if you don't delete any files that may have the following reason: you have set a backup and/or a sync task. If files in the local folder are removed, they will be moved in the trash folder in Wuala. They are still available on the travel time function as long as you do not empty the trash. By emptying these files are completely removed from Wuala.
