What is the referral program?

Simply refer Wuala to your friends and get additional storage.

How can I refer Wuala to my friends?

You just need to invite your friends to Wuala. Go to "My Friends" and click on "Invite friends". Send your friends a referral email or the referral link (email, IM, post it to your blog, post it to Twitter or Facebook, etc.) Please note: We do not save the email addresses of your friends. Further, the referral-link is a general code and not related to the receiver of your invitation.

How much additional storage will I get?

It depends on your account. If you're a Pro User, you can get up to 6 GB of additional storage (500 MB per successfully invited friend), while your friend gets to start off with 2 GB (instead of 1 GB). If you're not a Pro User, you can get up to 3 GB of additional storage (250 MB per successfully invited friend), while your friends get to start off with 2 GB (instead of 1 GB) .

How much storage will my friend get?

Your friend will start off with 2 GB instead of 1 GB. This means that by inviting your friend, you’re actually giving them something.

Will I get notified when my friends have signed up?

Yes, you will receive an email.

Can I get more than 3 GB or 6 GB?

No. The referral program is limited to 3 GB or 6 GB. This means that it is limited to 12 invitations.

What happens if my friends don't sign up?

You will only get additional storage if your friend signs up. This means that you can send out as many invitations as you want until 12 friends have signed up.

Will my friends be added to “My friends” automatically?

You will receive a friendship request. You may ignore or accept the request.

What happens if my friend signs up with a different email address than the one I used for sending the referral?

As long as your friend clicks on the referral link you’ve sent them, it doesn’t matter. You will still get additional storage. However, your friends’ email address will remain as “pending” under “My Friends”.

Will the storage I earned through inviting expire?

It will expire in one year.
