Usage Guidelines

These guidelines outline what behaviour we expect of you and other users. As a user of Wuala, you are bound by the General Terms and Conditions.

  1. Be nice. Don't do anything malicious, illegal or unwelcome.
  2. No piracy. Do not publish or spread protected content without the owner's permission.
  3. Respect personal rights. Do not publish anything that could infringe someone's personal rights without their consent.
  4. Family friendly: Flag files containing erotic content or violence as "not family friendly" before you publish them.
  5. Protection of minors: Don't publish porn, and don't share it with minors.
  6. No offensive content.
  7. No malicious content. Do not spread spam, viruses or malware.
  8. Tolerance. Be aware that not everything you see in Wuala might suit your taste.
  9. No misleading metadata. Name and tag your files correctly, i.e. in accordance with their content.

If you notice public files that violate these usage guidelines, you can flag them directly in Wuala (Right-click on the file > Flag as Inappropriate). The responsible user will be notified and asked to take appropriate action. Depending on the type and number of flaggings on a file, it might get blocked automatically.
